충청지역 민요의 연구현황 및 토리 이론 재검토
충청지역은 다양한 토리가 혼재된 지역으로 동일한 지역임에도 연구 대상에 따라 토리에 관한 연구결과 가 다르게 도출된다. 이에 본고에서는 충청지역 민요의 연구현황을 살펴보고, 이 중 토리에 관련된 연구를 중점적으로 고찰하여 충청지역 민요의 토리 이론을 재검토하였다. 충청도지역 민요에 대한 연구는 1970년대부터 시작되었고, MBC한국민요대전이 출판되면서 2000년 대 들어 학자들에 의해 다양한 연구가 이루어졌으며, 충북지역은 메나리토리, 충남지역은 메나리토리와 육자배기토리의 비중이 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 충청지역의 메나리토리와 육자배기토리는 다양한 변이유형이 나타난다. 메나리토리의 변이유형은 종지 음이 변화되거나 첫 번째음과 두 번째음의 음정간격이 좁아진 어사용토리가 다수 보였다. 어사용토리에 대해서는 창자의 개인적 특징으로 보는 견해도 있었지만, 아라리 계통의 악곡에서 주로 보이는 점, 동일 창자가 어떤 곡은 메나리토리, 어떤 악곡은 어사용토리로 부른 것으로 점 등으로 보아 메나리토리의 변이유 형으로 보는 것이 적절하다. 한 곡 안에서 육자배기토리와 메나리토리가 혼용된 양상도 다수 보이는바, 충청 지역에서는 메나리토리와 육자배기토리를 다른 토리로 인식한 것이 아니라 두 토리를 넘나드는 것이 자연스러웠던 것으로 추측된다.
A Review of the Research Status and Tory Theory of Folk Songs in Chungcheong Province
The Chungcheong area is an area where various tory are mixed, and although it is the same area, research results on tori are derived differently depending on the research subject. Accordingly, this paper examined the research status of folk songs in Chungcheong and reviewed the Tory theory of folk songs in Chungcheong by focusing on Tory-related studies. The study of folk songs in Chungcheong-do began in the 1970s, and with the publication of the MBC Korean Folk Song, various studies were conducted by scholars in the 2000s. The Chungbuk region has a high proportion of Menari-tori. It was found that the proportion of Menari-tori and YukjaBagi-Tori is high in Chungnam region. Menari-tori and YukjaBagi-Tori have various types of variations in Chungcheong. The changed its ending sound or the interval between the first note and the second note was narrower than that of the Menari-tori. Usayong-tori. this phenomenon as a personal characteristic of intestines. However, it is appropriate to see it as a variant type of Menari-tori, given that it is mainly seen in Arari folk song, some songs with the same singer were sung as Menari-tori, and some songs were sung as Usayong-tori. In one song, there are also many aspects of mixing Yukjabagi-tori and Menari-tori, and it is assumed that it was natural to cross the two Tori, not to recognize Menari-tori and Yukjabagi-tori as different Tori in Chungcheong.
